I grew up in a homophobic part of New York City and have experienced alot of mistreatment and abuse when coming out to people. I have also lost alot of friends in the coming out process and understand that it is tough to make friends that are lgbt or allies. There are so few places where we as gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders can meet each other in person outside of bars.  We've found that it's much easier to meet friends and partners in an environment that is fun doing an activity that isn't focused on meeting new people.  You can just sit down with us and play an old favorite game or learn a new one.  We tend toward strategy games, but word games and party games are welcome.

A social group for gay martial artists and those interested in martial arts. I started this group because there seems to be a gay club for just about every sport out there...except martial arts. As a practicing martial artist (Taekwondo) who regularly attends a dojang in midtown, it would be great to meet other LGBT martial artists. I'm not sure yet exactly what we'd do, but I'd like to gauge the interest, and we can go from there.
