Welcome, Decatur LGBT Dancers!

Meet other local Ballroom Dancers who do not assign Lead and Follow roles based on gender.

We dance to all music genres and enjoy all the typical dance styles including country western, American ballroom, international ballroom, Latin and swing dancing.

Most of us are social dancers - dancing for the exercise, and the joy of it. Still, learning both roles can make you a better dancer.

Many of us are LGBT but we also include our straight allies. It is about the dancing and the music and increasing our 'dance chances'.

We meet most Fridays in Decatur at the studio on the Square called "Several Dancers Core Studio". The studio is next door to Raging Burrito restaurant.

You can come with or without a partner and have a great time. The Friday event is very affordable. Cost is a sliding scale of $5 to $12 per person for two hours of classes and dancing.

The website www.comeoutdancing.com lists lots of dance events and lessons that are friendly to same gender couples and those couples who 'break the rule' about who leads and who follows.
